Leicester City returned to winning ways on Saturday, recording an impressive 2-1 victory at Carrow Road.

Jamie Vardy continued his rich vein of goalscoring form, netting from the penalty spot after winning the penalty himself, before Jeffrey Schlupp made the most of his opportunity further afield to put the visitors two goals up.

After being outplayed for most of the contest (despite having significantly more possession than their opponents), the Canaries made for a tense final period of the game when Dieumerci Mbokani flicked home Jonny Howson’s ball to the back post, reward for a period of sustained pressure.

The Foxes could have put the game beyond doubt had Vardy capitalised on any of his numerous chances, while Leonardo Ulloa had a goal ruled out for a push on Cameron Jerome. As it turned out, two goals were enough, with the game finishing 2-1 after a great spectacle.

The win sees Leicester return to the League’s top four, only three points adrift from leaders Manchester City, while Norwich see an end to their four-game unbeaten run, currently 13th on the table.
