EPL Transfer Talk – August 26 – Manchester City finally sign Claudio Bravo

Sunderland have confirmed their sixth signing of the summer with the loan capture of Atletico Madrid fullback Javier Manquillo. The Black Cats have the option at the end of the season to make the the 22-year-old’s move permanent on a four-year deal.

Tottenham midfielder Nabil Bentaleb will head to the Bundesliga this season in search of more first-team football. The North Londoners have agreed to a deal with FC Schalke for a season-long loan, expecting the move to become permanent at the end of the season.

Manchester City’s window just keeps on getting better, now officially signing goalkeeper Claudio Bravo from Barcelona. The 33-year-old’s move was shortly announced after the Blaugrana confirmed the arrival of Jasper Cillessen from Ajax.

Chelsea have also added to their goalkeeping stocks, confirming the signing of Portuguese international Eduardo from Dinamo Zagreb. The 33-year-old is expected to provide competition for Thibaut Courtois, with rumours linking current back up Asmir Begovic to a move away from the club.

West Ham have added Edimilson Fernandes to their squad just a day after it was rumoured they had struck a deal with his former club FC Sion. The 20-year-old is set to add more midfield depth for the Hammers, who bowed out of the Europa League on Friday morning.

Slaven Bilic’s next signing may not be very far away either if reports from the Guardian are to be believed. A £24 million deal is said to have been agreed on with Juventus for forward Simone Zaza, and the player is set to arrive in London for a medical over coming days.

Tottenham could be set to make a late charge for Manchester City defender Eliaquim Mangala speculates ESPN. Spurs could try and hijack Napoli’s potential loan deal for the Frenchmen, who has failed to hold down a regular first-team place with the Sky Blues.

The move may not be the only piece of business for Tottenham before the transfer deadline according to the Daily Mail. Wilfried Zaha has made it clear he wants to leave Crystal Palace this summer in order to link up with the North Londoners.

Manchester United have been told they will need a fee of around £25 million if they are to secure Monaco fullback Fabinho. L’Equipe is reporting via Talksport that Jose Mourinho still remains interested in the player.
