Watford have announced their latest summer signing, confirming the capture of Daryl Janmatt from Newcastle United on a four-year deal. The Dutch international joined the Magpies back in the summer of 2014 and would go onto make 77 appearances for the club as a first team regular.

Newcastle acted to quickly to fill the void left by the full-back after Tottenham announced that DeAndre Yedlin was heading to the Championship club. The United States international spent last season on loan with Newcastle’s rivals Sunderland.

Despite signing Christian Benteke in the past few days, Crystal Palace are in the market for yet another striker according to the Croydon Advertiser. The British paper is claiming the Eagles are looking to sign Sunderland veteran Jermaine Defoe before the transfer deadline.
Everton manager Ronald Koeman is set to turn to former club Southampton as he goes in search of even more signings before the end of the transfer window. The Daily Mail is reporting that the Toffees are looking to sign defender Cuco Martina, who scored a scintillating long-range effort on his starting debut against Arsenal last season.
And in more news from Goodison Park, Everton are set to go head-to-head with Arsenal to secure the services of Deportivo La Coruna striker Lucas Perez, the Daily Mail speculates. Their report claims that both clubs are willing to meet the 27-year-old’s £16.9 million release clause.
Liverpool and West Brom could also have a transfer battle on their hands if reports from the Daily Star are to be believed. It is being reported the Reds and Baggies are both interested in Leeds’ £7 million-rated full-back Charlie Taylor.
The Kop may also be in the market for a big-money signing before the end of the summer according to reports from the Daily Express. They are speculating that Jurgen Klopp is interested in Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez and the club have enquired about his availability following a £60 million bid from rivals Chelsea.
Chelsea reportedly lead Manchester United in the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos, according to Le 10 Sport. Despite rumoured interest from a number of clubs, the Ligue 1 club is reluctant to let go of the 22-year-old this summer.
Leicester City are reportedly willing to spend big in order to bring Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi back the Premier League. The Telegraph is reporting the 27-year-old has a €30 million release clause, which the Foxes are willing to pay.
West Ham have agreed a deal with Swiss club FC Sion for the transfer of Edimilson Fernandes, according to reports from Sky Sports. The deal is reported to be worth around £5.5 million for the 20-year-old attacking midfielder.
