Burnley have announced the signing of Liverpool fullback Jon Flanagan on a season-long loan ahead of the start of the new Premier League campaign. The 23-year-old will be hoping for a consistent run of playing time in 2016-17, after returning from injury in January following a 20-month layoff.

Swansea City have confirmed a deal for Spanish striker Fernando Llorente from Sevilla for an undisclosed fee. The 2014 World Cup winner joins the Swans on a two-year contract and brings a wealth of top-flight experience to South Wales.

Stoke City have also added to their squad ahead of the new season by signing AFC Wimbledon defender Ryan Sweeney. The 19-year-old joins the Potters on a three-year deal, after helping his former club reach League One via the Promotion Play-off in 2015-16.

David Moyes has made his first move in the transfer market as Sunderland manager, landing Papy Djilobodji from Chelsea. The 27-year-old, who has signed a four-year deal at the Stadium of Light, failed to make an impact with the Blues after being signed by former manager Jose Mourinho last summer.

Manchester City are still making waves in the transfer market, confirming their third signing of the week in the form of Marlos Moreno. The young Colombian will immediately be shipped out on loan by the Sky Blues to La Liga club Deportivo La Coruna.

Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez’ name has once again popped up among the rumour mill. Marca reports via the Mirror are claiming that an unnamed Premier League club has approached the European champions over a £72 million move to England.
Middlesbrough’s hopes of bringing Zinedine Zidane’s son Enzo to the club this summer have been boosted in the past few days. The Daily Mail is speculating that Real Madrid have told the midfielder he is free to leave in search of first-team experience on loan.
Leicester City could be set to go head-to-head with two Italian giants to secure the services of Brazillian youngster Gabriel Barbosa according to HITC Sport. The Foxes are prepared to pay £25 million to beat the likes of Juventus and Inter Milan to secure the 19-year-old, who has been playing for Santos’ first team since he was 16.
