Derby County have suffered a 3-0 defeat at home to Liverpool in the League Cup third round.
Liverpool dominated the first half and were rewarded through a scrappy Ragnar Klavan goal on 24 minutes, after Richard Keogh’s scuffed clearance fell kindly to the Estonian to prod in from close range.
The second half began like the first ended, with the away side on the front foot and it didn’t take long for them to double their advantage.
Intricate linkup play between Brazilian duo Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho ended in the latter latching onto a cute through ball and he finished with aplomb from 12 yards.
And just four minutes later the Reds had their third through a powerful Divock Origi strike, following a lovely ball from Coutinho.
Here are some of the best reactions on Twitter following the result:
7 matches. 18 goals. From 10 different players. Beautiful stat. Beautiful cohesion. Jürgen Klopp is building something upon Merseyside. #LFC

Put the game to bed early and then the game flattened but professional performance, no complaints. Travelling Kop were superb 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 #LFC

Comfortable victory. And Karius kept a clean sheet. May probably get a start this coming weekend #LFC

First Clean sheet of the season goes to Karius. Klavan was boss today. Matip Couts, Firmino and Clyne were excellent. Good Win. #LFC

Another good win, apart from the Burnley game it’s been a very impressive start to the season, need to continue that against Hull now #LFC

#LFC far too much quality for #DCFC tonight, like a training session. Jurgen is building quite a team. The Reds are coming up the hill boys
