Stoke City
Jack Butland – 6: Average performance but made a few saves and only conceded one goal.
Glen Johnson – 7: Assisted the match winner and also provided attacking support down the right-hand side.
Philipp Wollscheid – 6: Looked confortable and strong in a very good Stoke City defence.
Geoff Cameron – 6: Played well in his position but also controlled the ball expertly.
Erik Pieters – 7: Probably the best defender or even the best player out there. Linked up well with Arnautovic.
Glenn Whelan – 6: A good display but not exceptionally good. Helped keep possession and defended well.
Charlie Adam – 7: A similar role to Whelan but played it better. Made some greast interceptions leading to chances.
Xherdan Shaqiri – 5: A frustrating performance to watch for Stoke fans. Subbed off for a hamstring injury at the end of the first half.
Bojan – 6: Had a good second half where he was able to create several attacking forays.
Marko Arnautovic – 8: His best game in some time. The Austrian tore up the Bournemouth defence and got himself an assist.
Jonathan Walters – 7: An easy goal was the highlight of the match for him, but he played well and defended effectively in the attacking third of the pitch.
Substitutes
Marco van Ginkel – N/A: Subbed on for the final 15 minutes and did not have much of an impact.
Ibrahim Afellay – 5: Played the second half but hardly created any chances.
Mame Biram Diouf – 7: Scored the winning goal with his a header. A substitution with impact.
