West Bromwich Albion

Boaz Myhill – 6: Made some key saves in the first half that kept his side in the match and was not at fault for either goal.

Craig Dawson – 5: Had difficulty dealing with the Bolasie threat early but was moved to centre-back after Evans’ injury and looked better.

Gareth McAuley – 5: Quiet game in the heart of defence. However, dealt well with Gayle while he was on the field.

Jonny Evans – 5: Went down with a suspected hamstring injury in the 24th minute. Replaced by Chester.

Chris Brunt – 4: Was no match for the threat of Zaha and was often caught out because of it. Eventually gave away the match-securing penalty for a foul on Zaha.

James Morrison – 6: Was pressured early by the Palace midfield which led to some erratic passing but looked better when moving into Berahino’s position.

Claudio Yacob – 5: An ill-displined performance from the midfielder, who gave away silly fouls and eventually was booked for a foul on Zaha.

Darren Fletcher – 5: Was very quiet in the holding midfield role and was not able to break up Palace attacks.

James McClean – 7: The one shinning light for the Baggies. Was their most threatening presence.

Salomon Rondon – 5: The striker was very quiet and had more impact in defence than he did going forward.

Sadio Berahino – 5: Another who was quiet. Was not really able to use his attacking weapons with any success and was taken off at half time.

Substitutes

James Chester – 6: Looked nervous coming on to replace Evans and made some poor decisions when moving the ball up field.

Craig Gardner – 6: Replaced Berahino at half time and tried to give the Baggies more resistance in the midfield.

Callum McManaman – 5: Had the Albion best chance fall his way late in the game after he dispossessed Kelly, though nothing came of it.
