Everton have completed the signing of West Ham striker Enner Valencia on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy.

Multiple sources are reporting that Everton could make the move permanent next season for a fee of £14.5 million.

The Merseyside club appear to have been Premier League rivals Swansea City to the player after it was reported the striker was in negotiations over a potential deal with the Swans.

Despite having made six appearances already this season it appeared that the 26-year-old was set to be handed limited first-team opportunities this season.

Slaven Bilic has new signing Simone Zaza as well as injured pair Andy Carroll and Andre Ayew to call on this season, meaning it could have been quite the difficult season for Valencia.

The Ecuadorian is still by no means set to be the first name on the team sheet at Goodison Park, but is sure to see more first-team football.

Ronald Koeman has been on the lookout for a striker to add competition and depth behind first-choice striker Romelu Lukaku.
