Can anyone genuinely challenge Melbourne for the title?

Another 90 minutes, another three points. The Victory have had an exceptional start to the season recording its fifth triumph in seven matches. After barely having to break sweat – and far from their synonymous attacking fluency – they found themselves two goals to the good in the opening 30 minutes an ominous sign for the other teams in the competition. Yes United are obviously experiencing a troubling season, but it still begs the question will any team be able to negate the Victorians when they are in full flight and firing on all cylinders. The quartet of Fahid Ben Khalfallah, Berisha, Kostas Barbarouses and Gui Finkler is undoubtedly currently the most potent in the league this campaign, but arguably the greatest of all time. Time will tell if they can repeat the success of last season, though the prospect of going back-to-back is a realistic possibility.
