Manchester City have cruised into the quarter-finals of the League Cup, inflicting a 4-0 demolition on Crystal Palace at Emirates Stadium.

The 2014 League Cup winners were two goals to the good at half time thanks to Wilfried Bony’s strong header and a tap in from Kevin De Bruyne.
City’s big-money signing, De Bruyne, then turned provider setting up Kelechi Iheanacho who struck a fierce low drive into the back of the net.
Icing on the City cake was applied by Yaya Toure from the penalty spot after Damien Delaney brought down Eliaquim Mangala in the box.
Delaney redeemed himself slightly when he scored a consolation goal for the visitors on 89 minutes from Delaney before youngster Manu Garcia rounded off the scoring in deep into injury time.
