Brisbane Roar
Jamie Young – 5: In truth, Young had little to do but his poor footwork continues to plague performances.
Shane Stefanutto – 5: Stole the headlines with a questionable haircut but failed to provide any noteworthy moments in the match.
Jade North – 6: A commanding performance from the veteran who dealt with all he had to with supreme confidence, not that there was too much to contend with.
Daniel Bowles – 6: Much like his centre-back partner, the youngster was solid all evening long.
Jack Hingert – 6: The inward movement of Sydney’s wide men gave the fullback little defending to do and he failed to make any attacking impressions on the match.
Corona – 6: At one point in the first-half it looked as though the Spaniard would take the game by the scruff of the neck but in truth, he was unable to open up a tight Sydney FC side despite his wonderful passing range.
Dimi Petratos – 5.5: Constantly on the move in midfield, Petratos showed plenty of energy without end-product.
Matt McKay – 6: Like Petratos, was constantly on the move but the captain like pretty much everyone else on the pitch was lacking any serious influence.
Thomas Broich – 6.5: Always trying to play his striking partners in, the forward threatened with a few cute passes but nothing came from them.
Brandon Borello – 5.5: Could not find a way to get in behind a structured Sydney FC side.
Jamie Maclaren – 6: Showed snippets of his lethal speed but was well marshalled by Jurman and Faty. Replaced by Solorzano.
