Consistency and confidence in the team

Starting 11 absences from Massimo Luongo, Tjaronn Chery and QPR player of the month, Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, were the major talking point from the Rangers line-up. Chris Ramsey spoke before the match and stated the players were being rested and were suffering from fatigue. Coming back into the line up was South Korean, Yun Suk-Young, though the left back was positioned in the midfield. The inclusion of Ale Faurin, Daniel Tozser and Karl Henry, also created an incredibly defensive structure and made Rangers intentions clear from the get go.

However, in the absence of Clint Hill, Rangers still seemed to struggle defensively for much of the match, being bullied off the ball and sloppily giving away possession. Perhaps the most consistent player was young Grant Hall, who made several key interceptions. Although, with the experienced James Perch getting red carded and captain Nedum Onouha caught ball watching, the defence was truly sub standard.
