The A-League’s tenth season produced some of the finest football we have seen in our domestic competition, and with the likes of Marc Janko and Besart Berisha taking the field, it is no surprise there was as some simply wonderful goals well.

Outside90 club correspondent Michael Conti takes a look at our top 10 A-League goals for season 2014/15.

10. Terry Antonis (Round 4: Sydney FC vs Central Coast Mariners)

A corner which found Terry Antonis on the edge of the box allowed the Sky Blue enough time and space to drill home a powerful, low half-volley to give his side an early lead.

9. Carl Valeri (Round 14: Western Sydney Wanderers vs Melbourne Victory)

He might not score often, but Carl Valeri took full advantage from the edge of the penalty area with a fantastic, curling right footed volley.

8. Bernie Ibini (Round 25: Perth Glory vs Sydney FC)

A deflected cross saw the ball fall to Bernie Ibini, who controlled it beautifully with his left-foot before booting a right-footed volley past Danny Vukovic.

7. Rhyan Grant (Round 18: Sydney FC vs Central Coast Mariners)

Alex Brosque laid it off to Rhyan Grant who hit the ball sweetly with the outside of his boot from long-range, leaving Mariners keeper Liam Reddy helpless and levelling the scores.

6. Besart Berisha (Grand Final: Melbourne Victory vs Sydney FC)

Perhaps his most important goal of the season, Berisha gave his new club the perfect start to the grand final before the Victory went on to win the 2014-15 A-League Championship.

5. Ruben Zadkovich (Round 21: Perth Glory vs Wellington Phoenix)

Reuben Zadkovich made a move forward up from his usual spot in defence to fire home a long-range daisy-cutter in what was a top of the table clash with the Phoenix.

4. Marc Janko (Round 3: Brisbane Roar vs Sydney FC)

A clearing kick blunder from Brisbane goalkeeper Jamie Young saw the ball given straight back to Janko, who took it onto his chest before firing it back past the shot-stopper from long range.

2. Tarek Elrich (Round 27: Adelaide United vs Melbourne City)

In what was a lacklustre end of season performance from City, Tarek Elrich took full advantage with a looping run from beyond halfway, stepping past several Melbourne defenders before sliding the ball calmly past Tando Velaphi.

1. Bernie Ibini (Round 8: Western Sydney Wanderers vs Sydney FC)

A long ball out of the Sky Blues’ defence saw Ibini sent on a steaming run before stepping past two Wanderers defenders and firing his shot into the roof netting.
