Sydney FC skipper Alex Brosque has questioned the FFA’s stance on supporting the fans after a turbulent week off the pitch in the A-League.

Speaking on the Daily Football Show, Brosque said he felt the FFA and in particular, David Gallop’s comments have “bordered on arrogance.”

“To not really have the FFA come out, back football, back the fans, was disappointing,” he said.

“It’s not outrageous what they’re [fans] asking for – it’s common sense and decency.”

“Listen to the fans, without them we don’t have a game.”

Referencing Gallops’s history in the NRL where controversy is almost a weekly occurence, Brosque said perhaps is struggling to come to grips with the climate of the A-League and suggested that he needed to adjust.

Sydney FC tackle Newcastle Jets on Friday night in what promises to be a dull atmosphere at Allianz Stadium, with active support groups from both clubs, The Cove and Squadron Novocastria confirming their boycott of the match.
