Contrary to all the pre-match anticipation, Manchester City just managed to edge past a much improved Norwich City side last night.
Alex Neil will feel a bit hard done to not get a point after a decent away performance, but Pellegrini will be wary of the fact that his side only managed to score two goals while letting a host a chances go begging, including a late penalty miss from Aleksandar Kolarov.
Nicolas Otamendi’s thunderous header from a Kevin De Bruyne corner gave the Citizens the lead, before Cameron Jerome was gifted an equaliser in the final 10 minutes via a clumsy Joe Hart error. But in the end (literally) it was Yaya Toure who scored the winner, after Russell Martin had used his hand to block off what would have surely would have been City’s second goal.
