The gang had the pleasure of speaking to Perth Glory defender Michael Thwaite on the Daily Football Show ahead of tomorrow night’s FFA Cup final.
Playing in their second consecutive FFA Cup final, the Glory come up against a marauding Melbourne Victory at AAMI Park who according to Thwaite have “no weaknesses.”
With 15 players departing the club following last season’s salary cap controversy, the club is a stark contrast to the Victory who have built a stable club and even further boosted their stocks with more talent as they prepare for an Asian Champions League fixture load this season.
Despite the odds firmly against them, Thwaite believes his side have it in them to take the silverware back to Perth which would be an almighty boost given the club’s recent struggles.
The Glory have brought a very strong squad across to Melbourne and will train on the AAMI Park surface for the first time on Friday night.
