Argentinean superstar Lionel Messi has revealed why he decided to dye his hair to blonde.
Messi suffered a heart-breaking Copa America final loss to Chile, which prompted the five-time World Player of the Year to seriously consider retiring.
However, he is back playing at international level and is in scintillating form, performing with a completely different look.

The change from his natural hairdo and colour to a blonde bleach sent football fans worldwide into a spin for the rather timid character.
Messi explained why he decided to make the change in July.
“One particularly tough day I dyed my hair, I had to start again from scratch,” he told Telefe.
“I said to myself, ‘I have to make a clean break and start over.”
The Barcelona superstar missed a crucial penalty in that aforementioned Copa final loss.
Last week’s winner and stunning display against Uruguay reasserted himself on the international stage and perhaps vindicated the change in hair colour.
