Player Ratings: PSG

Kevin Trapp 6 – Had one of the best games of his young PSG career, looked confident after a couple of shaky weeks.

Thiago Silva 5.5 – Had a few wobbles early on but settled into the pace of the game soon after, not looking quite at his best so far this season.

Marquinhos 6 – The centre-back is really coming into his own. Read the game really well and stopped several attacks with some important interceptions.

Serge Aurier 7 – Was important in the second half as an attacking threat for PSG, scored a great goal late on to provide a more emphatic scoreline.

Layvin Kurzawa 6 – Had a torrid time defending Iloki in the first half but recovered in the second to show what he is capable of, still not at his best after his move this summer.

Marco Verrati 6.5 – An integral cog for PSG now. His passing improved as the game wore on, though he could have done better earlier in the match.

Benjamin Stambouli 4 – Not at PSG level. Lost possession too many times and didn’t look like he fit in at all.

Javier Pastore 8 – Continued his great form from mid-week, set up two goals and looked confident on the ball throughout.

Angel Di Maria 7.5 – Looking like the player he was a few seasons ago, scored a sublime goal, even if the goalkeeper was somewhat at fault.

Lucas 4 – The Brazilian has looked lost this season, isn’t influencing games at all and appears at time to be lacking the effort to get stuck in and make a difference. If he continues like this it won’t be long until he’s dropped.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic 6.5 – Didn’t get a lot of chances in the first half but was better in the second, managed to get the equaliser early on after the goalkeeper spilled it into his path. Starting to get back into form after an early season slump.

Substitutes

Thiago Motta 7.5 – Changed the game when he came on, was influential to PSG’s play and shored up the midfield.

Ezequiel Lavezzi n/a – Had little time to impact the game.

Edinson Cavani 6.5 – Looked good when he came on and managed to add to his season tally. For the first time in a PSG shirt, he looks like he’s eager to get goals and perform.
