After scoring an absolutely stunning free kick to give Adelaide United a first-half 2-0 lead, Isaias was justifiably awarded the Joe Marston Medal for best on ground.

The industrious Spaniard displayed his brilliance throughout the A-League grand final in midfield against the Western Sydney Wanderers and capped off a memorable outing by scoring a marvellous set piece.

Isaias was about 25-yards outside the area and struck a curling free kick into the top left corner, leaving WSW gloveman Andrew Redmayne rooted to the spot.

Following the game, Isaias explained his free kick, calling it a “beautiful goal” and was ecstatic with winning the man of the match accolade.

“I don’t know what to say, I think it was in a good position, the free kick,” Isaias revealed.

“I think the last few free kicks I did well so I take the responsibility and it went in, beautiful goal.

“It’s very good, I want to say thanks to all my teammates because I think they helped me to play well.”

The 29-year-old, who moved to the club in 2013, also labelled winning the grand final as the biggest achievement of his career.

“It’s the most special moment in my career, 100 per cent and I think it’s the biggest trophy that we can get in this moment,” Isaias continued.

“I’m so proud of my teammates I’m very happy for all the coaching staff, for the fans, for the city, for everyone, I’m so happy.”
