The gang had the pleasure of speaking to Hume City attacker Theo Markelis on the Daily Football Show ahead of tomorrow night’s FFA Cup semi-final against Melbourne Victory at AAMI Park.
Up against his old side, Markelis said the excitement was rife at Hume ahead of arguably the biggest match in the club’s history against last season’s A-League champions.
Hume will host the match at AAMI Park tomorrow night, after the FFA decided against a financially rewarding deal for the club to stage the fixture at Etihad Stadium.
Nonetheless, Markelis says the playing and coaching staff are ready for a massive task in trying to reach the FFA Cup final which will be played on November 7 against Perth Glory.
If Hume were to win the match, they would have to travel to Perth for next Saturday’s final at nib Stadium, unlike the Melbourne Victory who would host the match in Melbourne should they get over the lie.
