A largely unidentifiable Liverpool have survived a big scare, coming from behind twice to rescue a draw and set up a subsequent replay tie at Anfield with League Two minnows Exeter.
The home side took a shock lead on nine minutes, following a quick break and fizzed ball across the box that Tom Nichols slid and prodded past Adam Bogdan.
It stirred Liverpool into life who equalised just three minutes later through Jerome Sinclair with a cool and composed finish from close range.
However, the moment of the half would belong to Lee Holmes when he whipped in a fiercely struck corner kick that deceived Bogan and amazingly found its way into the back of the net.
The Reds looked like they were heading for an embarrassing Cup exit, despite their youthful outfit, only for Australian Brad Smith to pounce on an opportunistic chance and lash the ball in from six yards.
Here are some of the best reactions from Twitter:
Given that defence, the age of the team, the pitch – take that & get the hell out of dodge. Similar team at home can get us through. #LFC.

#Bogdan couldn’t save a word document. #LFC. It’s painful watching this set of “senior” players grace the #LFC shirts.
