Simply put, can they actually do it?
Leicester City’s 2-0 victory at home to Liverpool saw them retain a three-point lead at the top of the table before clashes away to title challengers Manchester City and Arsenal.
Despite Liverpool dominating possession it was the home side who threatened and created more clear-cut chances on goal.
Their counter-attacking style was rewarded in outrageous fashion on the hour mark when this season’s top goalscorer, Jamie Vardy scored one of the goals of the campaign.
Riyad Mahrez played a long raking first time pass into the path of England’s new No. 9 who struck a fierce dipping volley from 25 yards that deceived a helpless Simon Mignolet.
And 12 minutes later the Foxes put the icing on the cake when Vardy was first to reacted after a deflected shot and neatly finished from close range.
Champions League qualification for Liverpool is dead and buried, while for Leicester a fairytale title-winning season is now a distinct reality.

#LCFC are so confident in their play. Simple, slick, incisive. #LFC, meanwhile, overcomplicate things and create more work for themselves.

Firmino not the only player to lack consistency for Liverpool, it’s something that applies to far too many of this Reds side.
