Chelsea remain just a point above the drop zone, following a damaging 2-1 loss away to league leaders Leicester City.
The Premier League continues to throw up surprises and the 20-point gap between Leicester and Chelsea epitomises the league’s uncanny nature this season.
Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez found themselves on the scoresheet yet again, the latter setting up his teammate for a superbly timed goal on 34 minutes.
Minutes after the half time break and Mahrez scored a world-class goal, controlling the ball from a long cross before jinking and turning Cesar Azpilicueta inside out before firing into the far right-hand corner with a ferocious strike.
Substitute Loic Remy scored a headed goal on 77 minutes to give his side a lifeline, but it would prove a mere consolation for Chelsea who suffered a ninth loss in the league.
Jose Mourinho’s men sat in 16th have endured a nightmare campaign and their fans are fed up and had enough – many who believe this is the end of the road for the Portuguese manager at Stamford Bridge.

Disgraceful yet again. No progress, we have not learnt anything from numerous defeats this season. Why is no change being made??? #CFC

London is red, Manchester is blue, Chelsea is going to football league 2.

I think Leicester City mean it. They remind me so much of Alf Ramsey’s unfashionable Ipswich Town champions back in 1962. Good for football

13 – Leicester have both scored and conceded in 13 of their 16 Premier League games this season. Rollercoaster.

It must be said though whilst Jose should have signed a couple, the players have to accept responsibility. They’ve been woeful. #cfc #jose

Leicester will not win the Prem full stop, but it’s a wonderful story in modern day football, the underdog is still alive,

Is it time to take Leicester seriously as at least top 4 contenders no or are Chelsea just broken?
