A Brandon Borello double helped Brisbane Roar claim a 2-1 win over Central Coast at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday evening.
Borello’s strikes came either side of half time, both wonderfully taken in their own right in front of a crowd of 14,471.
Mariners substitute Josh Bingham gave the Gosford club hope with a tap-in on 87 minutes but it was too little, too late.
Aside from the late strike, Michael Theo was rarely tested and the result never really looked in doubt.
