Adelaide United surged into second place on the A-League ladder after an impressive 3-0 win over Brisbane Roar at Coopers Stadium.
Guillermo Amor’s side made a strong start to the match, pinning back the Roar deep in their own half with sustained pressure on Michael Theo’s goal. It seemed as though Brisbane had begun to work their way back into the contest with some controlled possession, but an incisive move from and Adelaide throw-in saw Bruce Kamau open the scoring for the home side.

How Twitter reacted to Adelaide United’s 3-0 win over Brisbane Roar
The Reds just took four minutes of the second half to double their lead, as Bruce Djite pounced on the loose ball after Michael Theo palmed away Bruce Kamau’s initial shot. The result was put beyond doubt in the 81st minute, as a poor pass from Javier Hervas was snapped up by Djite, who saw his shot saved by Theo, only to see teammate Pablo Sanchez put the rebound into the back of the net.

Great goal. Most teams in the A-League can't keep the ball from a throw-in, let alone go and score after it. #ADLvBRI.
