Manchester City ended the weekend as Premier League leaders after a 3-1 win over West Ham early this morning.
Slaven Bilic’s injury ravaged squad were given no mercy at the Etihad, with the hosts taking the lead inside the opening 10 minutes when Raheem Sterling finished a great passing move. The confidence was quickly drained from the Hammers and Fernandinho was on hand to double City’s advantage with a strong header before halftime.
Michail Anotnio found some space at the back post to reduce the deficit after the break, yet any hopes of a comeback were dashed by Sterling’s second goal in stoppage time.
