The figurehead of Mauricio Pochettino’s setup at White Hart Lane, Harry Kane has Tottenham five points away from a Premier League title.

Kane has continued to set the football world alight since his breakout in 2014-15, currently sitting at the top of the English top-flight scorer’s list.

The gang at oulala.com discovered some shocking stats that reveal the striker was in fact better last season than he has been this time around, despite leading the Golden Boot race. Of the six key areas analysed, Kane has fallen in five during the last 12 months.

The 22-year-old has been able to shake the ‘second-season blues’ tag by recorded three more goals than at this time last season, with his tally now standing at 24 compared to 21 in 2014-15.

Yet, at the helm of the Spurs attack since the beginning of this campaign has meant that Kane’s goals per minute ratio has slightly decreased from 123 to 125.

His shot conversion rate and passing accuracy are also slightly down, while he has provided three less assists and completed seven less take-ons.

With Tottenham inches away from the Premier League title and four games to play, the North London faithful will hope Kane’s performances do not dip too much further at this crucial point in the season.
