Hume did themselves proud
Taking on the reigning A-League champions in their own stadium is no mean feat but for the majority of this FFA Cup semi-final, Hume City were able to keep the Victory away from goal and play some decent football.
The first half was dominated by Victory in terms of possession and attacking play, but the A-League outfit rarely looked like it was going to score, thanks largely to the brilliant performance of Hume City goalkeeper Oldfield who made plenty of great saves.
At the restart, Hume were able to retain possession much better and progressively got into better attacking positions. City worked the ball well but could never quite get that killer pass right. At the end of the day, the 3-0 scoreline did not reflect how well Hume played and just how competitive they actually were.
