Young Everton striker Shani Tarashaj has been loaned out to Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt until the end of the 2016-17 season, the club announced on Wednesday.

Tarashaj, 21, joined the Toffees in January on a four and a half year-deal from Swiss side Grasshopper, spending the remainder of last season at the club.

Swiss international Tarashaj did enough in his loan period to earn a call-up for the Rossocrociati at the recent Euro 2016 tournament, where Switzerland reached the round of 16.

As yet, he is yet to make a first team appearance for Everton.

Meanwhile, Uruguayan Leandro Rodriguez has been told he has no future on Merseyside’s blue half, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Former manager Roberto Martinez signed Rodriguez from River Plate Montevideo, but was not able to muster a senior appearance for the Blues.

He was signed for approximately £500,000 but is not wanted by new manager Ronald Koeman and looks set to depart on a permanent basis.
