Once again Die Mannschaft will head into a major tournament with a team that boasts a wealth of young talents.

In his preliminary squad for Euro 2016, Germany coach Joachim Loew has given Joshua Kimmich, Julian Brandt and Julian Weigl their first spots in the dominating national squad.

The 21-year-old Kimmich has only been playing for Bayern Munich since the beginning of 2015-16, with Weigl similarly only having seen one full campaign with rival side Borussia Dortmund.

While not having seen action for Manchester United since March, Bastian Schweinsteiger is also included in the lineup and will hope to fully recover from a knee injury to lead the side and add to his 114 cap tally.

“We’ll have to wait and see when he can train with us. He is back to full running training, but we have the task as to work out when he can train with the team,” said Joachim Loew.

Fellow World Cup winners Mesut Ozil, Thomas Muller and Sami Khedira are among the other star names in the squad, while Marco Reus will no doubt want to make an impact for Germany having missed Brazil 2014 with injury.
