Socceroo Brad Smith has joined Bournemouth in a deal from Liverpool which sees him equal the highest ever transfer fee for an Australian player. The 22-year-old links up with the Cherries on a four-year deal and is expected to gain more Premier League experience this season, battling it out with Charlie Daniels for the starting left-back position.

Chelsea have made the first move in the race for Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly according to Sky Italy. The Blues have tabled an opening offer of £38 million for the Senegalese international, who has been linked with a move to the Premier League all summer.

In arguably one of the strangest moves of the transfer window, Liverpool are set to be beaten to the signature of Benfica midfielder Anderson Talisca by Championship side Wolverhampton. Portuguese publication A Bola says  Wolves are set to finalise a £20 million move for the 20-year-old.

Swansea City are interested in bringing Spain and Sevilla striker Fernando Llorente to the club on loan this season reports Spanish publication IUSport. However, ESPN is claiming the former Juventus man is most likely to join fellow Spanish side Real Sociedad this summer.

Everton’s hopes of securing winger Marko Arnautovic have been dashed after the 27-year-old signed a new four-year deal with Stoke City. Arnautovic performed strongly during 2015-16, which even saw him linked with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain.

New Sunderland manager David Moyes has reportedly knocked back the chance to sign Aston Villa defender Micah Richards according to the Northern Echo. The former England international was said to be offered to the Black Cats for a fee of around £5 million.

Crystal Palace goalkeeper Alex McCarthy could be on the move again this summer speculates Sky Sports.  Southampton are interested in bringing the 26-year-old to the club, as they search for a back-up to first choice shot-stopper Fraser Forster.

A three-horse race is set to secure the services of former Liverpool left-back Jose Enrique, who was released at the end of last season. IBTimes UK is rumouring Crystal Palace, West Brom and West Ham all have a keen eye on the 30-year-old.

Arsenal have reportedly made contact with Spanish side Valencia over the possible transfer of centre-back Shkodran Mustafi according to Spanish publication Plaza Deportiva. The news comes after first choice defender Per Mertesacker was ruled out for the first few months of the season with a knee injury.
