Swansea ended their winless run of seven matches, beating West Brom as Ki Sung-yueng scored his first goal of the season to earn the points at Liberty on Saturday night.

The Swans were in the lead after only nine minutes. Angel Rangel’s shot hit the post and Ki was there to complete a scrappy goal for his team. Alan Curtis’ team were the better side in the first half, while the Baggies could not get a shot on target. Swansea had the majority of possession but their chances weren’t clear cut.

In the second half, West Brom started rushing forward. Stephane Sessegnon and Saido Berahino entered the pitch to offer better options upfront but were unable to make a real difference. Berahino and Rickie Lambert were threatening occasionally with headers, but the shots weren’t good enough to get past Lukasz Fabianski.
