Brisbane Roar reclaimed their spot on the A-League summit with a come from behind 2-1 win against the Newcastle Jets earlier this evening.
From the opening whistle it was clear that the Jets had come to give the title contenders a fight. A tightly contested first-half saw Dimitri Petratos come the closest to scoring for either side, yet at the break the scoreline remained at 0-0.
It was only minutes into the second-half when the game sprang to life, however, with a long-range Jets strike deemed to have been handled inside the box by Jade North, allowing Leonardo to open the scoring from the penalty spot.
The lead would last only until Nigel Boogaard saw yet another red card in the 66th minute and Henrique also converted from the spot. With the numerical advantage it was no surprise that the hosts took a decisive lead soon after through Thomas Broich.
Here are some of the best reactions to come from Twitter after the result:

Both penalties were 50.50 calls IMO. Red card was harsh. With Corona there is no need to be upset. Henrique saves us AGAIN. Broich. #BRIvNEW

The newly developed maturity in Petratos game is clear to see. Previously he would have shot wildly, now he keeps the ball for team #BRIvNEW
