Adelaide United

Eugene Galekovic – 6: Did not have a great deal to do throughout but his passing and distribution was superb as always.

Michael Marrone – 5: Constantly worked but rarely threatened despite the Jets leaving space in the wide areas. Needs to do much more for his side.

Dylan McGowan – 7: Should have scored but was spectacularly denied by Birighitti. Was sound at the back and hardly gave Trifunovic an inch.

Jordan Elsey – 7: Blossoming into a quality A-League central defender. Was no surprise to see Osama Malik on the bench yet again as Elsey continues to excel.

Tarek Elrich – 6:Another polished display from the former Jets favourite. Never lets Adelaide down as he pressed and probed all night.

Isaias – 7:  Controlled the midfield superbly. A classy performance from the Spaniard. His passing is brilliant and he is a key man in the build-up play of the Reds. Controlled the midfield for most of the match.

Marcelo Carrusca – 7: His usual creative and troubling self. Came closest for the Reds with a free kick that left Birighitti helpless, only to see it bounce away from the post.

Jimmy Jeggo – 5: Lacked the spark he showed last week. Really needs to add consistency to his game if he wants to go to the next level.

Sergio Cirio – 6: The diminutive Spaniard is always a menace but he was contained fairly well by young Cowburn from the Jets.

Pablo Sanchez – 6: Was substituted by Djite midway through the second half and had a quiet evening upfront. He was not alone though in that regard.

Craig Goodwin – 7: Was the Adelaide player who looked most likely during the match. Earnt his side numerous free kicks in promising areas but nothing came of them.

Substitutes

Bruce Djite – 7: Was his usual bustling self when he came on. Earnt the dubious free kick that led to Carrusca hitting the woodwork.

Antoni Trimboli – 5: Only had limited minutes and had little chance to affect the result.
