Guus Hiddink’s impressive tenure as Chelsea boss continued on Tuesday night when his side edged relegation threatened Norwich City 2-1 at Carrow Road.
Chelsea went in front after just 39 seconds – the quickest goal in the top-flight this season – when young gun Kenedy caught the Norwich defenders as he drove towards goal and unleashed a fine left-footed drive into the far corner.
And on the stroke of half-time the Blues all but sealed the game, after the assistant referee failed to flag for offside and Diego Costa chipped John Ruddy to make it 2-0 and rub salt into Norwich wounds.

Norwich found a route back into the game when Wes Hoolahan’s well weighted pass was latched onto by Nathan Redmond, as he spectacularly thundered past Thibaut Courtois at his near post on 68 minutes.
The home side rallied after the equaliser but lacked the incisiveness they needed to find a decisive goal, as they remain in the bottom three.
Chelsea move up to eighth after their third consecutive victory and provided themselves with a remote chance of finishing fourth.

Look where we were under Jose. The team was an absolute shambles. Guus has turned it around without a doubt. Yet there are still moans. #CFC

Very poor second half. Against a better side we’d be in trouble there. Oh well at least it’s 3 points #CFC
