Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers have played out a thrilling 1-1 draw at Allianz Stadium on Saturday.
Sydney FC
Vedran Janjetovic – 7: Produced fine saves to deny Vidosic a second, twice. Little he could do about the opener.
Seb Ryall – 6: Vidosic found himself in between he and Jurman to find the space he needed to open the scoring. His excellent ball down the right channel kicked off the sequence of play that saw Sydney find the back of the net.
Jacques Faty – 5.5: Was not able to nullify Bridge, who made him pay by teeing up Vidosic.
Matt Jurman – 7: Won’t be happy that Vidosic floated goal-side of him. However, made an important block in closing down a goal-bound effort from Castelen approaching half time and, generally, did not allow the Dutchman much time.
Rhyan Grant – 6: Played an important ball into Brosque that, at the time, seemed innocuous. Dealt well with the threat of Castelen.

Brandon O’Neill – 5.5: Tasked with breaking up the play at the base of a midfield diamond and did that task reasonably well.
Milos Ninkovic – 4: Saw a bit more of the ball in the second half but was well marshalled for the most part.
Alex Brosque – 7.5: His flick deflected off Jamieson, finding its way past Reddy. An influential game from the skipper who was a constant in attack. Replaced by Molis Dimitrijevic after 71 minutes.
David Carney – 5.5: Was not able to bury an excellent chance in the 19th minute. Put in a few tempting balls but did not see a whole lot of success.
Filip Holosko – 4: Found himself released by Ryall and was a crucial link in the chain ahead of Sydney’s leveller. Not his best game though, succumbed to cramp late.
Matt Simon – 6.5: Found the bar with a fizzing striker on 25 minutes. Fluffed a far easier chance shortly after the commencement of the second half. Worked his socks off but wasteful.
Substitutes
Shane Smeltz – N/A: Did not have much of a sniff.
Milos Dimitrijevic – 4.5: Got on the ball a bit but created little.
Andrew Hoole – N/A: Went close with his only real chance, but could not find enough whip to hit the target.
