Lazio chip away while Verona still cannot manage to win

Although the Biancocelesti have struggled at times this season, a come-from-behind victory against Verona sealed for them a fourth victory from six games and leaves them in fifth position on the table. They have found it tough going, but have managed to grind out victories, something other larger clubs have not been able to do so far.

Verona, on the other hand, is without a win this season, and now find themselves in two types of difficulty, having slipped into the relegation zone, and having to cope without the capocannoniere winner from last season, Luca Toni, through injury.

Domenico Berardi finding it difficult to make an impact

Berardi’s season with Sassuolo during 2014/15 was a significant step forward for the young striker, managing fifteen goals for the Neroverde , who managed a firm mid-table finish.

However, the first six matches of the 15/16 season have not been so profitable for the 21 year old, who has been unable to attach a goal to his name, clearly struggling for form. This is even more puzzling when you consider how well Sassuolo have started, sitting in fourth position.
