Brisbane Roar

Michael Theo (GK) – 7.5: Dealt with the Wanderers corners well, but misjudged a Jamieson cross to give Topor-Stanley a chance in front of goal.

Corey Brown – 6.5: The 21-year-old managed to keep Romeo Castelen contained for long periods of the match. Although unwilling to adventure into the front third often, combined well with Thomas Broich on occasion.

Jade North – 6.5: Leading from central defence, North had a significantly better match in the second half.

Daniel Bowles – 7: The youngster managed to get on the scoresheet thanks to a dangerous Corona corner.

Jack Hingert – 6: His ill-positioning led to Nichols goal in the first half, but he made up for it somewhat with an improved second half performance.

Steven Lustica – 7: Had a busy night in the midfield paired with Corona.

Corona impressed in midfield for the Brisbane Roar.

Corona – 8: Looks to be a great acquisition by Aloisi and was the most influential figure in midfield. Two of his corners resulted in goals.

Dimi Petratos – 6.5: Not as influential as Aloisi would have liked in the number ten role and perhaps should have been substituted earlier for Devante Clut.

Thomas Broich – 7.5: Pulled the strings in the second half for the Roar.

Jamie Maclaren – 8.5: Wreaked havoc in the front third and earned himself a brace for his efforts. Looks to be the answer to the Roar’s previous problem in the number nine position.

Brandon Borello – 7: The youngster provided energy on the right side and will only improve as the season goes on.

Substitutions

Devante Clut – N/A: Had little time to create anything for the Roar.

George Lambadaridis – N/A: Entered the field in stoppage time.
