Western Sydney Wanderers

Andrew Redmayne – 6: Conceded the early penalty against Castro, despite indications he may have got the ball. Was then beaten by Oxborrow’s free kick in the second-half, despite getting a hand to it.

Scott Neville – 8: Strong at the back and always happy to get forward. Starting to resemble the player who broke into the league with Perth all those years ago. Barely put a foot wrong all game.

Alberto Aguilar – 7: Composed performance from the Spaniard, who was rarely troubled by Knowles in the first-half. However, found the going tough against the speed of Harold and Reiners.

Nikolai Topor-Stanley – 7: Comfotable game at the back, used his strength to dominate Knowles and was rarely tested. Like Aguilar, was tested by the pace of Harold and Reiners in the latter stages.

Scott Jamieson – 7: Showed his attacking instincts have not deserted him on his return to nib Stadium and grabbed an assist for Santalab’s strike. His forrays forward were a constant worry.

Andreu – 7: Found the going tough early as Perth’s midfield controlled the opening exchanges, but his influence was felt as the Wanderers found their way into the game. Still looks like an inspired signing.

Jacob Pepper – 6: Quiet game in the middle of the park, although did an adequate job replacing Dimas. Pepper was defensively sound, and was able to restrict Perth’s midfield. Went missing at times.

Mitch Nichols – 7: Not as influential all game long as previous week, but still showed glimpses of his ability. Was involved in Santalab’s goal with a nice lay-off in the lead up. Got more involved as his side chased the game in the second half and became increasingly dangerous, before scoring a wonderful equalizer.

Dario Vidosic – 7: Was his usual dangerous self, causing Perth problems with his pace and skill. A constant meance on the wing and was dynamic as the Wanderers searched for an equalizer.

Brendon Santalab – 6: Stabbed home from a first-half corner to for the away side’s first, but was otherwise well-contained by Thwaite and Grant and enjoyed a quiet game.

Jaushua Sotirio – 6: Got on the ball early and was lively, always looking forward. Unfortunately, drifted out of the game at times and was replaced by Romeo Castelen.

Substitutes

Romeo Castelen – 7: Lit up the game immediately after he was introduced. One of the league’s most electric players, and his impact off the bench was certainly felt.

Federico Piovaccari – 6: Very quiet, although did lack service.
