27. Vedran Janjetovic (Sydney FC)
Arguably the most underrated shot-stopper in the A-League, Vedran Janjetovic comes in at number 27 on our list. The Croatian-born goalkeeper topped the clean sheets list last season with Melbourne City’s Tando Velaphi after keeping the opposition out in nine of his 29 appearances.
A keeper whose greatest characteristics are his incredulous reflexes and diving, over the past few seasons Janjetovic has added a commanding attitude to his game. The 28-year-old won 96% of his aerial claims last season.
An integral aspect of Sydney FC’s new-found ‘spine’, Janjetovic will have to continue his good form if Sydney are to mount a similar title challenge as they did last season. He has also played the most minutes of any goalkeeper over the past two seasons.
