Melbourne Victory

Danny Vukovic – 6: Apart from being caught out by Keogh’s lob for the opener, did not do much else wrong. Produced a world-class save to deny Marinkovic from a free kick that would have taken the score to 3-0 in the first half.

Jason Geria – 5.5: Did not produce the attacking performance we are used to from the Olyroo.

Thomas Deng – 4: Made a solid start to the game, but never really recovered from the error leading to the first goal.

Matthieu Delpierre – 5: Not bad, not his best work either.

Daniel Georgievski – 4.5: Not as influential as we’re used to, turned over possession a few too many times.

How Twitter reacted to Sydney FC’s 3-1 loss to Brisbane Roar

Leigh Broxham – 4.5: Fairly anonymous performance from the skipper.

Gui Finkler – 4: No impact on the game whatsoever.

Oliver Bozanic – 5: Like many of his teammates, not great, but not bad either.

Kosta Barbarouses – 5.5: Little impact, but worked hard and got an assist with a set piece delivery.

Besart Berisha – 7: Not as heavily involved as we are used to seeing, but with chances at a premium, he did very well to score twice, showing us why he’s one of the league’s best.

Fahid Ben Khalfallah – 3: Although assisting Berisha’s first goal, he was kept quiet by Risdon, then let his team mates down terribly with his dismissal when the game was there for the taking. Although controversial and perhaps a soft red card, better is expected of a player with his experience.

Substitutes

Archie Thompson – 4.5: Little to no impact in his 24 minute run.

Nick Ansell – 4: Conceded a needless penalty which cost them a point.

Rashid Mahazi – N/A: Only played seven minutes, but picked up a booking.
