In a bitter blow to their hopes of defending the title, Leicester City have lost star N’Golo Kante to Premier League rivals Chelsea after weeks of speculation. The French midfielder drew plenty of plaudits throughout the last campaign, playing a key role in helping the Foxes secure an unlikely maiden top-flight crown.

However, Nemanja Matic’s time at Chelsea could reportedly be up following the signing of Kante according to ESPN. Italian Champions Juventus are said to be looking to strengthen their squad even further after a busy transfer window so far this summer, which has seen the likes of Dani Alves and Miralem Pjanic arrive in Turin.

If rumours are to be believed the Blues may not be finished plundering Leicester City in this transfer window, with the Express linking the club to a move for winger Riyad Mahrez, who also enjoyed a stellar last season. The arrival of Mahrez could quite possibly spell the end for the likes of Pedro who only arrived at Stamford Bridge last summer.

Sunderland have confirmed the departure of Italian international Emanuele Giaccherini to Napoli in his native home. The 31-year-old midfielder made 43 appearances and scored five goals for the Black Cats since joining the club back in 2013 from Juventus, spending last season on loan at Bologna.

While Napoli have gained one player from the Premier League, they have also lost a name to England by sending Juan Camilo Zuniga to Watford on a season-long loan. The 30-year-old, who can play in either the left or right fullback, position may earn a permanent move to the club if he impresses during the course of the campaign.

With their first game at the Olympic Stadium on the horizon, West Ham are looking for a marquee signing to headline their squad for this season. Spanish newspaper Marca is linking the Hammers with an audacious €80 million bid for Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez, who seems increasingly likely to leave the European champions this summer.

Egyptian youngster Ramadan Sobhi is close to completing his move to Stoke, with the Potters’ chief executive Tony Scholes telling BBC Radio that the deal is 99% agreed. The 19-year-old has enjoyed a bright start to his professional career, having scored 11 goals in 55 matches for Al Ahly in the Egyptian National League.

Southampton may have a battle on their hands in coming weeks to keep star winger Dusan Tadic, as the Daily Mail reports that Schalke are interested in bringing the 27-year-old to the Bundesliga. The heat would rise on the Saints if Manchester City are to complete the signing of winger Leroy Sane from the German outfit.

Hull City have emerged as favourites to sign Welsh striker Hal Robson-Kanu after a strong Euro 2016 showing, according to the Daily Mail. The 27-year-old remains a free agent after being released by Reading at the end of last season, throwing his name up in lights after leading the line in France for his country.
