Adelaide United ensured they remained in contention for the Premiers’ Plate with a convincing 2-0 win over a dire Sydney FC.
The Sky Blues were officially out of finals contention before kickoff due to the Victory’s win over Wellington and it showed in their performance, quickly losing intensity after the opening minutes. Adelaide quickly seized control of the contest and took a deserved lead as Bruce Djite capitalised on Zac Anderson’s mistake to become the Red’s outright leading goalscorer.

Anderson was at the heart of the visitors’ second goal as well, turning over the ball to Bruce Kamau before Djite once again struck the back of the net from the ensuing play.
Sydney FC have now gone a club record of 11 games without a win, while Adelaide temporarily move to the top of the league ahead of tomorrow’s fixtures.

Fun fact: Bruce Djite averages a A-League goal every 270 min; a hattrick would really highlight the quality of this Sydney FC side #SYDvADL
