Van Gaal’s side is banking points but United are yet to hit their peak
Van Gaal’s side is sitting in a healthy position on top of the table after seven rounds of the Premier League after notching up five wins from seven games.
In their last three Premier League matches, United have racked up three wins with a 3-1 victory against rivals Liverpool the highlight of the bunch.
Although the Red Devils are collecting wins, their performances have not been the United that has been apparent over the years. They are very controlled, disciplined and sometimes lacking in attacking endeavour but nonetheless they are still collecting wins and sitting in a healthy position.
A tough run of games is on the horizon, however, with fixtures against Wolfsburg in the Champions League and Arsenal, Everton and Manchester City domestically. United will have to be at their brilliant best to hold their position at the top.
