UEFA has confirmed Euro 2020 will be a footballing roadshow.

Thirteen cities will play host to matches in the competition’s next instalment with Wembley confirmed as the venue for both semi-finals and the final.

The tournament has been dubbed ‘Euro for Europe’ and is the first time the European Championships will not have a designated host country.

UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin says the layout will help build bridges between nations.

“There is great pleasure in being able to bring EURO 2020 to so many countries and cities, to see football acting as a bridge between nations, and to carry the competition closer to the fans, who are the essential lifeblood of the game,” Ceferin said.

The host cities and stadiums are as follows, with matches allotted as per UEFA.com:

Final and semi-finals

London: Wembley Stadium

Tottenham Hotspur FC v AS Monaco FC - UEFA Champions League

Three group games, one quarter-final

Baku: Olimpiya Stadionu

Munich: Fußball Arena München (Allianz Arena)

Rome: Stadio Olimpico

Saint Petersburg: Saint Petersburg Stadion
