Diego Costa may be in the midst of a 2016 resurgence, yet there may be an ex-teammate trying to lure the striker away from Stamford Bridge. According to ESPNFC, former Chelsea defender David Luiz has urged the fiery Spaniard to consider a switch to Paris Saint-Germain, using all the temptations of the Ligue 1 giants to get his point across.

Looking to bolster one of the Premier League’s leakier defensive lines, Alex Neil has reached a deal to bring Timm Klose to Norwich City from VfL Wolfsburg. The Swiss defender arrived at the Wolves in 2013, but would only make 39 appearances over all competitions. BBC Sport quotes Klose as always wanting to make a move to the English top-flight.

The David De Gea saga was one of the biggest talking points of the preseason transfer window, however, the Daily Star is insisting that arguably the Premier League’s best goalkeeper has made up his mind to remain with Manchester United. Real Madrid may have to forget about any plans for another transfer war.

A surprise signing of Jonjo Shelvey has already paid rewards for Newcastle and coach Steve McClaren is looking to spend further in order to avoid the drop. The Mirror says that wayward West Brom hitman Saido Berahino will be offered £15 million to join the Toon, yet they will have to compete with his admitted desire to play at White Hart Lane.

Continuing the search for a dependable second striker Tottenham are looking abroad, specifically at Toulouse’s Wissam Ben Yedder. The Independent states that a £6.1 million offer for the centre-forward was rejected, but having notched up 12 goals in 21 games this season, the Spurs are expected to ramp up their interest.

Matthieu Debuchy made his intentions to leave Arsenal clear over the last 24 hours, wanting to see game time in order to claim a spot on the French national team for Euro 2016. According to the Daily Mail, the defender has received interest from bottom-placed Aston Villa and German outfit Bayer Leverkusen, so far not a difficult choice.

Having gone five-games without scoring a goal, Crystal Palace is in dire need of a striking change. The Evening Standard reports that the Eagles are interested in Premier League veteran Emmanuel Adebayor, however, they should be wary as controversy has plagued his recent career.

The 2015-16 struggles of AC Milan mirror those of the once highly-touted Alessio Cerci, who has scored just one goal for the Rossonerri in 29 games. According to Football Italia, a strange ownership situation over his contract, now finally cleared up, allows the winger a wanted return to Serie A side Genoa on loan until the season’s end.

The Manchester United rebuild has never been a cheap process and rumours are spreading that Louis van Gaal has another highly-priced European starlet. If Goal.com is to be believed, the Red Devils have been monitoring Benfica’s Renato Sanches for months, despite a buyout clause of nearly £60 million on his contract with the Portuguese outfit.

Finally, much talk has been spun about the potential transfer activity at Liverpool, but a headline signing is yet to materialise. A damning report from the Guardian says that with the input of over 10 other people, Jurgen Klopp is having a hard time getting his message across in the window.
