Melbourne City forward Tim Cahill has praised the attacking quality of his side and issued a warning to opposition defences around the country.
Speaking to in-house media at Melbourne City FC, the 36-year-old insisted the strengths that his team possess far outweigh the questions of how he and star striker Bruno Fornaroli will combine, saying: The way I see the formation with Fornaroli is the question I would then flick back is how are people going to stop Fornaroli and Cahill and the midfielders and attackers in one team.”

The veteran forward also insisted that he is eager to fit into head coach John Van’t Schip’s system as quickly as possible.
“The way I see myself coming into this team is that I want to transition into their formation, their style,” he said.

Cahill is taking a exuberant attitude coming into the new season, insisting he will provide what the team requires as a forward in tandem with Fornaroli.
“When you ask me some of the strikers I’ve played with in my career, I’ve always fitted the mould of what the team needs,” he said.
Melbourne City play Brisbane Strikers in the FFA Cup round of 16 on Wednesday at Perry Park, with Cahill reportedly is in line to make his debut.
