Torino boss Sinisa Mihajlovic has praised English gloveman Joe Hart following his side’s 3-1 win against Roma on the weekend.

Winger Iago Falque was the hero, scoring a double against his parent club to help Il Toro move into the top half of the table.

Meanwhile for Roma, veteran striker Francesco Totti stepped up to convert a penalty, his 250th goal in Serie A competition.

Following the match the Torino coach applauded his goalkeeper’s ability to boost the team in such a short period of time.

“We signed Hart for his enthusiasm, spirit and experience,” Mihajlovic said.

“Before he arrived I spoke to him to understand his spirit.

“He is a great guy and a wonderful professional, an international level goalkeeper with great charisma.

“His presence makes the rest of the team feel more confident.”

Since his less than impressive debut in the 2-1 loss to Atalanta, Hart has quickly adapted to his new surroundings to keep two consecutive clean sheets.

Mihajlovic was proud of his sides’s performance against one of the big clubs in the league.

“This was our best performance of the season: I saw 11 bulls out there today,” Mihajlovic added.

“We scored three goals, hit the woodwork and created another four or five clear-cut chances.

“We allowed Roma very little, so it was a deserved victory.”
