With the Europa League final to be played on Thursday night in Basel between Liverpool and Sevilla, here is Outside90’s combined XI.

David Soria – Goalkeeper – Sevilla

Whilst he has been the second-choice goalkeeper for much of the La Liga season, coach Unai Emery has elected to use the academy graduate as the club’ shot stopper the Europa League. Soria has featured in all eight matches for his side, keeping three clean sheets and was the quarter final hero as Sevilla advanced after a penalty shootout win against Athletic Bilbao

Nathaniel Clyne – Right Back – Liverpool

Despite lacking consistency, Clyne has become an integral part of Jurgen Klopp’s side. The 25-year-old has featured 13 times in the competition this season and his ability as an attacking full-back earns him a spot in the side.

Adil Rami – Central Defence – Sevilla

Rami joined the club back at the start of the season and has helped add stability to the reigning Europa League champions as they go in search of a third successive title. The French defender’s threat at set pieces makes him a nuisance for any opposition.

Timothee Kolodziejczak – Central Defence- Sevilla

The defender earns a place in the side not only for his versatility as he is able to play in the heart of defence or down the left hand side. The 24-year-old’s ability to find key passes from deep has helped his side in transition, as the Frenchman edges out Dejan Lovren in this team.

Alberto Moreno – Left Back- Liverpool

Despite often being found out defensively on a few occasions throughout the season, Moreno remains an attacking threat for Klopp’s side. The final ball of the former Sevilla man can let him down at times but when he is at his best he provides a wealth of talent.

Yevhen Konoplyanka – Winger – Sevilla

The winger will be hoping to end his first season with Sevilla with a trophy. Fans will be happy to see the 26-year-old has been passed fit for the final after he remained in doubt following an injury concern. Konoplyanka’s pace and dribbling ability make him an obvious threat to the Liverpool rearguard.

Grzegorz Krychowiak – Holding Midfielder – Sevilla

The Polish midfielder is one of the most important members to Sevilla given his ability to protect his back four in the holding midfield position. The 26-year-old who has been linked to Arsenal in recent transfer windows will be hoping to limit the impact the influence of Liverpool’s creative midfielders in another test of his ability.

Roberto Firmino – Attacking Midfielder/Playmaker – Liverpool

Since finding his feet in Klopp’s set-up, the Brazilian has produced some stunning moments for the Merseyside club. Able to play anywhere across midfield or as a makeshift striker, Firmino is the creative heartbeat of this combined XI.

Phillipe Coutinho – Winger – Liverpool

Klopp’s decision to move the Brazillian out wide made many people wonder if this would in fact limit his influence on matches. This has certainly not been the case, with Coutinho able to stretch defences from deep before drifting inward, as well as having the ability to change a game with a moment of brilliance.

Kevin Gameiro – Striker – Sevilla

When Carlos Bacca left for AC Milan last July, the question remained who could fill the void left by the Colombian. Gameiro has stepped up, and labelled this campaign “the best of my career” in an interview with UEFA.com.

Daniel Sturridge – Striker – Liverpool

When fit, the English international is arguably the most important player at Klopp’s disposal. His performance in the second leg against Villareal underlined this, as Liverpool steamrolled their way toward a 3-0 win.

Formation: 4-4-2
