A second half strike from Paulo Dybala saw Juventus grab a 1-0 win over the Rossoneri in Turin on Saturday.

AC Milan suffered their first loss since early October, with Juventus’ Argentinian Dybala smashing in the only goal of the match, securing three points for Juve and putting further strain on AC Milan’s season.

Milan coach Sinisa Mihajlovic would have been hoping the team would be reinvigorated and make a statement following the international break. They did, just the wrong kind of statement, playing poorly in the first half and creating few chances in front of goal. Fans of the Rossoneri will be hoping for a turnaround in form when they take on Sampdoria next week.

With Juventus playing Manchester City midweek in the Champions League, Max Allegri rested Leonardo Bonucci, Juan Cuadrado and Alvaro Morata, with Sami Khedira also out after failing a fitness test.

The loss sees Milan fall to seventh spot on the table, and can drop even further if Lazio and Atalanta win their respective matches while Juve have risen to sixth place.
